Marketing - Microsoft appoints global marketer with expanded remit
Chris Capossela: global marketing chief, Microsoft |
Microsoft has appointed Chris Capossela as its new global marketing chief and put him in charge of its consumer channels business.
In a transitionary period Capossela will work with Mich Mathews, who is due to retire as the senior vice-president of the computer giant's central marketing group this summer, and will report to chief operating officer Kevin Turner.
Microsoft has combined the central marketing group with its consumer channels business, which works with Microsoft's OEM, retail, mobile operator and distribution partners.
Capossela moves across from his current role as senior vice-president of the company's Office division.
He has worked at the company for 20 years and worked in a variety of marketing, technical and field roles.
